    Сомали приняла поправки к Джибутийскому кодексу поведения

    Федеративная Республика Сомали стала 14 страной, принявшей Поправку Джидды к Джибутийскому кодексу поведения против пиратства. Об этом сообщает пресс-служба Российского профессионального союза моряков (РПСМ) со ссылкой на информацию Международной морской организации (ИМО).

    Так, поправка, принятая в Джидде в январе 2017 года, рассматривает меры пресечения ряда незаконных действий, таких как пиратство, торговля оружием, наркотиками, дикими животными, кража сырой нефти, контрабанда и торговля людьми, незаконный сброс токсичных отходов.

    Министр морского транспорта Сомали Мириам Авейс сдала документ на хранение в штаб-квартиру ИМО в Лондоне 1 декабря.

    Кодекс поведения в отношении пресечения пиратства и вооруженного разбоя против судов в западной части Индийского океана и Аденского залива (Джибутийский Кодекс поведения) был разработан и принят странами Западной части Индийского океана и Аденского залива и подписан 29 января 2009 года.

    Среди других стран, подписавших поправки, - Коморские Острова, Джибути, Эфиопия, Иордания, Кения, Мадагаскар, Мальдивские Острова, Мозамбик, Саудовская Аравия, Сейшельские Острова, Сомали, Объединенные Арабские Эмираты, Объединенная Республика Танзания и Йемен.
