President of Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU) Nikita Anisimov took part in the first meeting of the Organizing Committee for the preparation and holding of the 5-th Eastern Economic Forum (EEF), which will be held September 4-6, 2019 at FEFU campus on Russky Island, FEFU says in a press release. The organizing committee was held by the Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation - Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Far Eastern Federal District Yury Trutnev.

He stressed that over the past years, EEF has emerged as the main international economic event dedicated to solving the task of developing the Eastern vector of Russian foreign policy, as well as integrating the Far East into the system of economic relations in the Asia-Pacific region.

The Minister of the Russian Federation for the Development of the Far East, Alexander Kozlov, proposed to include in the first block of the business program a presentation of the investment potential of the industries with a breakdown by each of the regions. The second block will present sessions on the implementation of 12 national projects in the Far East.
