RF Maritime and River Registers eyeing possibility of reducing survey costs for small-size vessels
Russian Maritime Register of Shipping (RS) jointly with the Russian River Register (RRR) are considering a possibility to reduce the labor cost rates in order to decrease total cost of surveying small-size vessels, PortNews IAA learnt from RS Director General Mikhail Aivazov, participant of a meeting dedicated to arrangement of commercial fishing in Astrakhan region.
According to the source, with the decreased labor cost rates, total cost of surveying will make some RUB 2,000 per one small-size vessel against earlier planned RUB 4,500.
“Such a decrease is possible with simultaneous presentation of not a few small-size vessels to Register’s inspector at the same place,” Mikhail Aivazov told PortNews IAA.
RS and RRR can start surveying of vessels with the decreased labor cost rates as early as from the next week.
