    Технологическое решение Wartsila повысит топливную эффективность и экологичность судов кувейтской танкерной компании

    Wartsila модернизирует главные двигатели четырех супер-танкеров компании KOTC

    Технологическая группа Wartsila получила контракт на модернизацию работы четырех судов, принадлежащих Кувейтской нефтяной танкерной компании (KOTC), дочерней компании Кувейтской нефтяной компании (KPC). В пресс-релизе финской группы компаний сообщается, что будет модернизирована система повышения топливной эффективности (Wärtsilä Fuel Efficiency Boost) главных двигателей танкеров.

    Модификация позволит снизить расход топлива судами (на 4%) и, соответственно, снизить уровень выбросов парниковых газов. Заказ поступил Wartsila в первом квартале 2020 года.

    Отмечается, что компания KOTC и другие крупные судовладельцы, реализующие политику в области охраны окружающей среды, активно ищут пути сокращения потребления топлива своим флотом и углеродного следа, уменьшению выбросов парниковых газов.

    Решение Wartsila основано на технологии оптимизации двухтактных двигателей для выбранной серии Wärtsilä RT-flex и более ранних версиях двухтактных двигателей типа X.

    Четыре модернизируемых танкера KOTC типоразмера VLCC работают на семицилиндровых главных двухтактных двигателей серии Wärtsilä RT-flex82T. В 2019 году компания Wartsila установила на этих четырех судах свою систему интеллектуального регулирования процесса горения. Проект модернизации для повышения топливной эффективности будет выполнен Wartsila в течение ближайших шести месяцев.
