  Восстановление движения судов на участке Канала им. Москвы в Тушино от шлюза №7 до шлюза №8 вновь отложено. Как следует из материалов Канала им. Москвы, аварийно-восстановительные работы на участке должны были быть завершены 20 июня 2019 года, однако движение судов на участке до сих пор запрещено.
  
  Как сообщил ИАА «ПортНьюс» источник, знакомый с ситуацией, движение судов не восстановлено из-за новой протечки в Тушинском тоннеле, из-за чего воду из Канала аварийно сбросили.
  
  При этом перед шлюзом в ожидании возобновления движения уже стояли несколько судов с грузом для порта Коломна. Также невозможна поставка грузов в Южный речной порт, включая щебень, песок, гипс, а также вывоз металлолома. Кроме того, перекрыта возможность прохождения прогулочных судов с севера Москвы в центр и обратно.
  
  Как прокомментировал ИАА «ПортНьюс» вице-президент Российской палаты судоходства Константин Анисимов, из-за сложившегося положения судовладельцы несут большие потери, причем из-за низкой воды на Волге и Оке ожидается дальнейшее ухудшение ситуации для речного судоходства.

  Как сообщалось ранее, днем 10 января 2019 года движение транспорта в тоннеле под каналом имени Москвы на Волоколамском шоссе закрыли из-за подмыва грунта. В результате утечки воды на внешней стороне насыпи канала возле шлюза №8 образовался провал грунта глубиной 5 м и площадью 50 кв. м. Причиной ЧП стали недочеты при проектировании Тушинского тоннеля на Волоколамском шоссе, а также низкое качество строительно-монтажных работ и материалов при его возведении в 2000 году. К таким выводам пришла межведомственная комиссия Ространснадзора, проводившая расследование инцидента.
