  В Китае открыли самый длинный морской мост протяженностью 55 км

  На юге Китая 23 октября 2018 года официально открыли самый длинный в мире морской мост протяженностью 55 км, передает РИА Новости со ссылкой на Центральное телевидение КНР.
  
  Мост связал Гонконг, Макао и город Чжухай провинции Гуандун.
  
  Свободное движение по мосту, который позволит сократить время поездки из Гонконга в Чжухай с трех часов до 30 минут, откроется на следующий день – 24 октября.
  
  По предварительным подсчетам, к 2030 году каждый день по мосту будут проезжать более 29 тыс. транспортных средств и свыше 120 тыс. пассажиров. Ожидается, что он в значительной степени поспособствует экономической интеграции и развитию трех важнейших городов экономической зоны дельты Жемчужной реки, а также туризму в Гонконге и Макао.
  
  Структура моста состоит из нескольких частей надводного моста общей протяженностью 22,9 км, подводного тоннеля, длина которого 6,7 км, нескольких искусственных островов, а также специальных пограничных КПП — между материковым Китаем, Гонконгом и Макао в силу их отношений обязателен пограничный контроль.
  
  Вес стального моста превышает 400 тыс. тонн. Он рассчитан на то, чтобы выдержать сильнейший тайфун со скоростью ветра свыше 300 км/ч и землетрясения магнитудой 8.
