  На румынской верфи Damen выведено из сухого дока исследовательское судно снабжения для Антарктики

  На верфи компании DAMEN в г. Галаце (Румыния) исследовательское судно снабжения для Антарктики (ASRV) вывели из сухого дока. Об этом сообщает пресс-служба Damen.
  
  Исследовательское судно DAMEN строит для подразделения компании Serco - DMS Maritime.
   
  Судно было заложено в августе 2017 года.
   
  Как сообщалось ранее, судно длиной ‎160 м будет выполнять многочисленные задачи в интересах Австралийского Антарктического подразделения (AAD). Оно предназначено для поставок топлива и необходимых грузов для географически удаленных исследовательских станций, поддержки вертолетных операций, снабжения береговых партий, работающих на отдаленных островах, для проведения картографирования морского дна и целого ряда научных мероприятий в Южном океане
  
  Как судно обеспечения ASRV имеет значительную грузоподъемность: вместимость до 96 TEUs нижних грузовых отсеков и площадка для 14 TEUs и шести 10-футовых контейнеров на корме, а также грузовую площадь выше вертолетного ангара и перед вертолетной взлетной площадкой. Это значительно больше в сравнении с грузоподъемностью действующего судна Aurora Australis, которое может перевозить всего 19 контейнеров. Таким образом, новое судно сможет завести за один рейс все необходимые грузы сразу на две антарктические станции Австралии.‎

  Международная судостроительная группа Damen Shipyards Group (головной офис - г. Горинхем, Нидерланды) объединяет 40 судостроительных и судоремонтных верфей. Общая численность персонала компании по всему миру составляет 9 тыс. человек. Компанией построено на сегодняшний день более 6 тыс. судов по всему миру и ежегодно передается в эксплуатацию около 160 новых судов. DAMEN специализируется в проектировании и строительстве буксиров, катеров, патрульных, высокоскоростных и грузовых судов, земснарядов, судов для обслуживания морских платформ, судов для ликвидации аварийных разливов нефти (ЛАРН), фрегатов и мега-яхт.
