    NCSP volumes up 6.3% for 8M 2016 reach 98 mln tons

    NCSP Group says its consolidated cargo turnover for the eight months of 2016 increased by 5 810 thousand tons or 6.3% y-o-y and reached 98 363 thousand tons.

    Volumes of liquid cargo are up by 4 668 thousand tons or 6.5% y-o-y reaching 76 673 thousand tons, among them crude oil grew by 4 445 thousand tons or 8.9% y-o-y amounting to 54 438 thousand tons.

    Transshipment of bulk cargo totaled 7 771 thousand tons; among them iron ore volumes increased by 590 thousand tons or 44.2% y-o-y and comprised 1 923 thousand tons; coal volumes were up by 179 thousand tons or 18.6% y-o-y and amounted to 1 140 thousand tons.

    General cargo volumes grew by 928 thousand tons or 9.9% y-o-y and comprised 10 335 thousand tons, among them transshipment of ferrous metals and pig iron increased by 1 049 thousand tons or 13.2% y-o-y and reached 8 973 thousand tons.

    Container traffic in the reporting period totaled 3 584 thousand tons or 323 thousand TEU and increased 4.1% y-o-y in tonnage and 1.2% y-o-y in TEU.

    NCSP Group is the largest port operator in Russia and the third largest in Europe by cargo turnover in 2015. NCSP Group is traded on Moscow Exchange (NMTP) and London Stock Exchange as GDRs (NCSP). NCSP Group volumes in 2015 totaled 139.7 million tons. Consolidated revenue to IFRS in 2015 totaled $877 million and EBITDA $657 million. NCSP Group consists of: PJSC Novorossiysk Commercial Sea Port, LLC Primorsk Trade Port, JSC Novorossiysk Grain Terminal, OJSC Novorossiysk Ship Repair Yard, JSC NCSP Fleet, JSC NLE, OJSC IPP, Baltic Stevedore Company LLC, and JSC SFP.
