Krylov Center and Nordic Yards submit bids for designing of auxiliary icebreaker for FSUE Rosmorport
Krylov State Research Center (Saint-Petersburg, Russia) and Nordic Yards (Germany) have submitted bids for the development of a technical design of an auxiliary icebreaker for FSUE Rosmorport. According to the tender materials, the price proposed by Krylov State Research Center is RUB 118 mln, Nordic Yards – RUB 119 mln. Initial (maximum) contract price is RUB 130 mln.
Krylov State Research Center was set up in 1894 as Russia’s first model testing basin in the central part of St. Petersburg. It is a scientific research organization of the national shipbuilding sector focused on conceptual and workshop designs of naval ships, merchant vessels and offshore structures as well as on their operation and disposal.
Nordic Yards has three production locations in Germany - Rostock-Warnemünde, Wismar and Volkswerft Stralsund. The company specializes in the construction of offshore platforms, ice-class vessels, ferries and passenger ships.
