  DeepOcean awarded extensions on IMR contract with Statoil

  

  DeepOcean has been awarded extensions and additional work under long term Inspection, Maintenance and Repair (IMR) contract with Statoil. The awarded work includes a 1 year option for the Edda Fauna and a 7 months option for Edda Fonn. The award represents an addition of several hundred million kroner to DeepOcean’s order book, the Company press release said.
  
  The Edda Fauna is specially designed for IMR services and will continue to perform various IMR operations. The vessel is equipped with ROVs (Remotely Operated Vehicles), module handling tower, AHC offshore crane, and an integrated scale squeeze system for chemical well stimulation. Vessel operations will be supported by the experienced DeepOcean project teams both on- and offshore. The Edda Fonn has for several years proven herself as an efficient vessel for structural inspection and MR work. Her experienced offshore inspection team perform inspection campaigns trough out the year.
   
  "Statoil declaring options for two of our IMR vessels is a very important event to DeepOcean, and a great contribution in our endeavors to secure long term work both for our personnel as well as our vessels. Representing close to 600 additional vessel days this is a substantial contract in the North Sea subsea IRM market.
   
  The award is the third optional period under the long term frame agreement we hold with Statoil for IMR services, and I’m pleased to learn that Statoil continue the existing good relationship and cooperation with DeepOcean.
