Pacific Fleet formations and units are undergoing final inspections and control exercises
In the Pacific Fleet (PF) formations and military units, the final checks and control exercises began according to results of the 2017 training year, says press center of RF Defence Ministry.
During the checks, the Fleet commissions will check servicemen individual training and will assess cohesion of military collectives when performing combat-training tasks in sea and land ranges of the Fleet.
In the course of checks and control exercises, servicemen of the air defence formations, formations and units of the coastal troops and naval aviation of the Pacific Fleet will meet qualification standards in fire and physical training, standards on special subjects of training.
The Fleet’s ships will practise elements of various standard task complexes, including with sorties, will fulfil the tasks of struggling for damage control and conduct control missile and artillery fires in sea combat training ranges.
The personnel of the PF naval aviation will demonstrate their individual preparedness, ability to carry out tasks for the intended purposes with practical application of aviation destruction means. In addition, in the course of control exercises, the items of refuelling airplanes in the air and interaction of naval aviation of the Fleet with air defence subunits, surface and submarine forces of the Fleet will be worked out.
