Network with Airbus, BAE Systems and Thales at SMi’s Naval Mission Systems Technology 2016

Airbus, BAE Systems and Thales will be amongst the attendees at Naval Mission Systems Technology which will be taking place in Rome, Italy on the 14th- 15th November.

In just twelve weeks' time, this highly anticipated event will bring together military and industry experts to explore how the collection and dissemination of data from maritime helicopters, UAVs, radars and shore based sensors through C2 systems can be improved to produce an accurate and clear picture of the maritime theatre for allied forces, Smi Group said on Monday.

The complexity of this, associated with effectively coordinating the variety of operations of these systems, means that interoperability between all systems, divisions, and nations is of paramount importance.

With this playing such a vital role of enhancing maritime operations; many nations are now looking at how they can further develop their navy's capabilities as well as mitigate future challenges that may arise.

Insightful addresses not to be missed from key speakers:
    1. Rear Admiral Flavio Biaggi, Head of The Ship Design & Combat Systems Department of the Italian Navy General Staff, Ship Design & Combat Systems, Italian Navy
    2. Mr William Bray, Executive Director Programme Executive Office for Integrated Warfare Systems (PEO IWS), Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA), US Navy
    3. Brigadier General Carlos de Salas, Head C4ISR & Space Programs, Spanish Ministry of Defence
    4. Mr Simon Vaughan, Integrated Project Team Leader, Combat Systems, BAE Systems Surface Ships
    5. Mr Tim Munn, Mission System Architect, Defence Mission Systems, Thales UK Ltd

    Networking Opportunity:
The two day conference will provide attendees with the perfect opportunity to network with peers. Airbus, Italian Navy, Spanish MoD, US Navy, BAE Systems, Thales, NATO M&S Center of Excellence are just some of the organisations and companies that will be in attendance.
    POST-CONFERENCE WORKSHOP

Running alongside the two day event is a post-conference workshop entitled 'Enhancing Systems and Technology for Maritime Situational Awareness.'
This will be led by Dr Clayton Stewart, former Technical Director of the Office of Naval Research Global and current Professor at the University College London.

There is currently an early bird offer available; book by 31st of August to save £300 off the conference price. Registration is available.
