Trust Zapsibgidrostroy LLC selected as general contractor for works at Severnaya Vert docks
Following the results of open bidding Trust ZapSibGidrostroy Company has been selected the general contractor for construction and installation works, including development of necessary detailed design documentation "Reconstruction and modernization of existing facilities of Severnaya Verf Shipyard. Waterworks.” Completion of works / documentation on Western Pier (permanent part) is scheduled for October 2016, the shipbuilding company said.
The contract will be executed in accordance with “Development Strategy of United Shipbuilding Corporation until 2030" which is aimed at Corporation's expansion, which means the construction of state-of-art ships and marine engineering facilities for offshore industry. For that the USC will have to build new shipyards or refit the existing ones. In line with this program Severnaya Verf Shipyard launches large-scale phased modernization of shipbuilding capacities, creation of new facilities on the premises.
The first phase envisages the reconstruction and modernization of: West Pier (permanent part), utilities and energy infrastructure. The contract between the two companies was signed on 18 July 2016.
The key criterion in determining the winner was the experience of the successful construction of waterworks by Trust Zapsibgidrostroy, the availability of qualified staff and technical resources to implement the project.
Trust Zapsibgidrostroy Company was founded in 1977. The company specializes primarily in the design of hydraulic engineering structures and transport facilities; construction of embankments, coast protecting structures, cargo and passenger piers, dams; construction of roads and interchanges, retaining walls in industrial and civil construction; production and supply of patented and certified pipe piles and metal. Trust Zapsibgidrostroy comprises six independent construction and engineering divisions based in Surgut, Nizhnevartovsk, Tyumen, Novosibirsk, Samara and Moscow.
