    Throughput of port Tallinn (Estonia) down 19.7% to 20.77 mln t in 11M’15

    In January-November 2015, the Port of Tallinn (Estonia) handled 20.77 mln t of cargo (-19.7%, year-on-year). According to the Port Authorities, container throughput dropped by 21.2% to 191,680 TEUs. Transshipment of liquid bulk cargo dropped by 30.8% to 11.9 mln t, loose dry cargo – climbed by 7.1% to 2.71 mln t, consolidated cargo – down 8.2% to 527,300, Ro-Ro cargo – up 8% to 4,000 t

    Passenger traffic climbed by на 1.9% to 9,024,200 people with a forecast of 9.7 mln to be reached by the end of 2015.

    The number of ships’ calls increased by 3.1% to 6,336 vessels.

    Port of Tallinn ranks fourth largest seaport, next to St. Petersburg, Primorsk and Ust-Luga, on the Baltic Sea. The Port comprises five so-called port zones: Muuga, Old City Harbor, Paljassaare, Paldiski South and Saaremaa. In 2014 throughput at Tallinn port totaled 28.32 million tonnes.
