The Maritime Standard Awards are held annually to recognise and celebrate success in the shipping, ports and related sectors across the Middle East and the Indian Subcontinent. This year the Awards take place on Tuesday 23 November at the Dubai World Trade Centre, in the iconic ballroom. The 2020 TMS Awards, which will be attended by over 700 senior business leaders and influencers, will see around 21 general awards presented, in line with the recommendations of an elite, independent judging panel. In addition, there will be a number of special individual awards recognising the contributions made by high profile industry leaders and innovators.
The TMS Awards comprise 21 different categories which are assessed by an elite judging panel, selected for their many years of experience and expertise in a number of different industry segments. Entries are based on nominations received and even dense submitted against specific criteria. Combined, the categories provide comprehensive coverage of all the important shipping and maritime sectors, spanning everything from ports and terminal operations; to all major cargo shipping activities; and the most important components of the maritime business. In addition, there are a number of Awards which are not open for nomination but which are awarded by TMS to companies, organisations and individuals for particularly exceptional levels of service and commitment.
