Sovcomflot tanker Shturman Ovtsyn took part in a unique voyage along the Northern Sea Route

The Shturman Ovtsyn, Arctic shuttle tanker of Sovcomflot, took part in a unique transit voyage along the Northern Sea Route as part of a convoy escorted by FSUE Atomflot’s nuclear-powered icebreaker 50 Let Pobedy. The ships passed the Northern Sea Route westwards in late December – early January, for the first time in the history of Arctic navigation.
