    IMRF избрала новый состав Попечительского совета

    Члены Международной федерации морских спасательных служб (IMRF) на общем собрании в Ванкувере (Канада) 18 июня 2019 года избрали новый Попечительский совет федерации. Затем состоялась встреча 4-го Всемирного конгресса по спасению на море, в котором приняли участие специалисты по поисково-спасательным операциям на море и международные поставщики специального оборудования, говорится в сообщении федерации.

    Новый состав Совета будет работать в течение четырех лет. На первом собрании избран был избран новый председатель Совета.

    В состав нового Попечительского совета вошли: председатель Декан Лоуренс (Береговая охрана Новой Зеландии); Хорхе Диена (спасательная служба ADES, Уругвай); Мохаммед Дрисси (Департамент морского рыболовства, Марокко); Сиа Сьёстедт (Шведское общество спасения на море); Николай Штаделер (Немецкая морская поисково-спасательная служба); Джеймс Воган (RNLI); Чжан Жунцзюнь (Китайская служба спасения людей и судов / CRS)

    Члены Совета выразили признательность покидающему свой пост председателю IMRF капитану Удо Хельге Фоксу, срок полномочий которого подошел к концу после более чем 12-летней работы в организации. Капитан Фокс стал членом Попечительского совета в 2007 году и был его председателем с момента проведения последнего четырехлетнего общего собрания в Бремерхафене в 2015 году.

    Международная федерация спасения на море объединяет службы спасения на море по всему миру для обмена знаниями и улучшения координации и реагирования в случае бедствия на море для поиска и спасения людей. Организации-члены IMRF делятся своими идеями, технологиями и опытом и сотрудничают друг с другом для достижения общей гуманитарной цели: «Предотвращение гибели людей в водах мира».

    Международная федерация морских спасательных служб была основана (как Международная федерация спасательных шлюпок) в 1924 году. В 1985 году ей был предоставлен статус неправительственной консультативной организации при Международной морской организации (IMO) в знак признания проделанной и растущей потребности в организации, действующей в качестве глобального координационного центра для поиска и спасания на море. В 2003 году она была зарегистрирована как независимая благотворительная организация, а в 2007 году организация была переименована в Международную федерацию морских спасательных служб (IMRF), что отражает более широкий охват современной морской поисково-спасательной деятельности.
