    The port of Saint-Petersburg handled 19.31 million tonnes of cargo in 4M’18, up 16% Y-o-Y

    In January-April  2018, the port of St. Petersburg handled 19.31 million tonnes of cargo (+16%, year-on-year). According to the port authority, transshipment of liquid bulk cargo grew by 31% to 2.79 million tonnes, dry bulk cargo – climbed by 4% to 2.75 million tonnes, general cargo – up 17% to 4.63 million tonnes, transshipment of Ro-Ro cargo – up 49% to 442,800 tonnes.

    The port’s container throughput increased by 24% to 701,819 TEUs.

    In 2017, the port handled 53.64 mln t of cargo, its container throughput was 1.92 mln TEUs.
