    Strict compliance with the dangerous goods transportation regulations and requirements, including explosives, is a fundamental factor in the accident-free operations of both maritime and related modes of transport. The Russian Federation successfully implements a monitoring system for safe transport of dangerous goods (DG), which complies with the main provisions of international law in this area.

    The conference participants will report and discuss application of this monitoring system in multimodal transportation of export / import dangerous goods, control and supervision of DG handling, the experience of DG transport.

    The 1st Conference “Dangerous goods: new transportation requlations” held on 1 March 2018 at the Chamber of Commerce of the Russian Federation (Moscow) gathered about 100 delegates who listened to more than 15 reports, discussed specific features of Russia’s system to control safe transportation of dangerous cargo and acknowledged the compliance of that system with key provisions of the international legislation in this sphere. Special role of Russian Maritime Register of Shipping was marked at the Conference. As of today, RS is the only body in Russia to certify compliance of containers, packaging and packages used for shipping of dangerous goods by see with international codes.

    The 2nd Conference “Dangerous Goods: New Transportation Requirements” was successfully held on 12 March 2019 at the Chamber of Commerce of the Russian Federation (Moscow). The event was supported by the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation. General Sponsor - Maritime Cargo Bureau. The conference gathered about 100 delegates who listened to 13 presentations, discussed some specific features of control over DGs safe transportation in Russia and acknowledged absence of threats to the stability of DG shipping market.
